OTK is 77 years old this year. The Company dates back to 5 April 1923 when the then Oostelike Transvaalse Landbou Koöperatiewe Vereniging was established, primarily to handle grain produced by its members. OTK Holdings Limited was established on 17 July 1995 in terms of a scheme of arrangement with the members of OTK (Co-op) Ltd. The company was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 11 November 1996 in the Industrial "Food" sector under the abbreviated name OTK.
The OTK group consists of a 100% interest in OTK Ltd, a vertically integrated undertaking in the following sectors:
- Agricultural produce handling and storage (grain and cotton);
- Stores; and
- Agricultural produce processing
with extensive activities in Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Northern Province as well as other areas.
