ach
year, approximately 20% of our young men are international
students. Our alumni roster includes graduates from more than
40 countries.
In addition to
the regular academic curriculum, international students are
offered special courses to help them make an easier transition
to American culture and language. The instructors in our English
as a Second Language (ESL) program work intensively with these
students until they are ready for the mainstream curriculum.
Because of the
differences among school calendars in various parts of the
world, we accept new students throughout the year. Placement
is based on standardized tests such as SLEP and TOEFL (if
available), recommendations of teachers and counselors and
additional testing that takes place when the student arrives.
Accepted international students receive an I-20 A/B Certificate
of Eligibility for U.S. Immigration purposes.
