General Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the  
President has made the following nominations.

Army Brig. Gen. Michael S. Linnington has been nominated for  
appointment to the grade of major general. Linnington is currently  
serving as chief, C/J-5, International Security Assistance Force Joint  
Command, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.
