All,

I regret to report that LTC Bill Raymond, USA (Ret)  passed away last  
night
surrounded by his family. The funeral will be at West Point on Dec 29 in
the same church Bette and Bill were married in 48 years ago.  Our  
thoughts
and prayers with Bette and the Raymond Family.

LTC William M. Raymond graduated from the United States Military  
Academy,
June 1960 and received a BS. He graduated from the United States Naval  
Post
Graduate School in June 1972 and received a MS.

He began teaching general chemistry in January 1981 when He was  
selected to
join the Chemistry Department, United States Military Academy. He taught
general chemistry from January 1981 to June l985. At this time He was
selected to join the Department of Chemistry, United States Naval  
Academy
and taught general chemistry from June 1985 to June 1988.

He retired from the US Army in June of 1988 with thirty years of  
military
service and was selected to teach general chemistry at Valley Forge
Military Academy and College from September 1988 to November 2007.

LTC Raymond received the Order of Anthony Wayne in 1994.
