Yep, that's Apple ---  using a security advisory to market full version product updates.  Though I'm sure they're not the only one that does this.

And for those wondering, I was not enthused/impressed/amazed by anything they announced yesterday.   Apple seems to be less an insanely-great computer company and more of a consumer electronics company a-la Sony.     Sad.

I really think that "Apple" is modern herd-speak for "oooh, shiny."
