Quoth Apple in the iTunes 8.2.1 Release Notes:

"iTunes 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses  
an issue with verification of Apple devices,"

How very innocuous-sounding.  We don't like 'issues' with our gizmos,  
do we?

But what does this mean, exactly?
