[Dataloss] OH: Reynoldsburg student information stolen

A laptop stolen over the weekend contained personal information about 
4,259 Reynoldsburg students, the district said today. The data included 
Social Security numbers as well as names, addresses and phone numbers.

A computer technician had been using the laptop to transfer student 
information about an electronic lunch payment system to the district's 
schools. He completed that work last week but didn't delete the 
information from the laptop, which was stolen from his car Saturday.

He filed a police report Monday but didn't realize that the student 
information was on the laptop until yesterday, officials said.
