Matrox Matrox Millenium and Mystique
Thomas Götz ( German: , English: ) has added
hardware acceleration for the Matrox Millennium and Mystique.
- "This is a "design-check", not
production code, but I've had it working successfully in single window mode on my
Millennium, and I've heard rumours that this module runs on a Matrox G200 (and is faster
than software Mesa). If true this rumour would prove that the G200 is compatible with the
previous generation of Matrox 3D commands." /A.C.Aitchison/

Specifications for this card are available from Matrox developer support. The Utah GLX project is developing drivers for
these chipsets.

G200 news! Good one too... Posted Sunday, May 23, 1999 - 15:01 by kornel
Here is the news from the GLX
Acceleration for XFree86 and Linux page.
"A more formal G200 web page is developing. There is a new FAQ for those of you
interested in installing things, and for when you have problems. Soon, we will have more
organizational information, and starting points for new developers. The site is currently here. We also have some initial RPMs in
progress, soon to be updated on a regular basis. We're currently looking at tagging the
CVS repository once a week, and generating source and binary distributions from the tagged
source base. "
