Description
Popular Publications Publications contain detailed information directed at specific matters or industries.  They commonly contain comprehensive narratives, examples, questions and answers, and charts.
Memos (TSB-M)
(1993 - Present)		 Technical Services Bureau memoranda are informational statements of the Department's policies.  They are issued to help explain a specific tax issue, or to notify and explain to taxpayers and practitioners changes in the Tax Law or Department policy.
Advisory Opinions (TSB-A)
(1993 - Present)		 An advisory opinion is a written statement issued on behalf of the Commissioner regarding the application of Tax Law and regulations to a specified set of facts.  The opinion is binding on the Department only with regard to the person or entity requesting the advisory opinion, and is limited to the specific facts as stated by the requestor.
N-Notices
(1998-present)		 N-Notices are important notices issued to alert the public regarding changes in the way tax is to be charged, calculated or collected, or to correct an error in previously published tax forms or instructions.  N-Notices are usually issued to specific groups that may be affected by the information contained in the notice.
