The purpose of this page is to provide answers to the most commonly
asked questions regarding Membership, requests for deletions and other
related information about GayUniverse.
ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
Q: What is "Membership"?
A: Members are provided a special username and password that
is used to unlock the Shielded Email system permitting the Member to respond
to any of the tens of thousands of Profiles and Personals on http://www.gayuniverse.com.
Q: What does "Membership" cost?
A: $9.95 for 1 month membership, $50.00 for 1 year membership,
$100.00 for a lifetime membership.
Q: How can I pay for "Membership"?
A: There are several ways to pay for your membership:

$9.95 for 1 Month Membership

$50.00 for 1 Year Membership

$100.00 for a Lifetime Membership
About Profiles/Personals
-
It’s free to submit a Profile and Personals and it’s free to browse
them but you must be a Member to respond to any of them.

Ideally you may submit one Profile and then continue on to submit Personals
in the state or country
files where you have an interest. It is preferred that individuals
do not submit more than five Personals.

Profiles and Personals should not include email addresses or other contact
information. Submissions that contain alternate contact information
will be deleted.

Responses are sent via a special system we call "Shielded Email". The purpose
of "Shielded Email is to protect the email addresses in the profiles and
personals from spammers and to permit recipients the option of ignoring
unwanted responses or revealing their email address unnecessarily.

Responses are sent immediately via email, we do not delay delivery.

If you would like to delete your Profile just click here.
You will be given the option of just deleting your Personal(s) individually
or deleting your Profile and all Personals.
Deletions will take effect within 12 to 24 hours of your request.

ABOUT DELETIONS
We reserve the right to delete or edit any posting submitted to http://www.gayuniverse.com
or it’s related pages. If you would like to request that a posting be deleted
just send
me an email message and tell me where the posting is located. To determine
the location (URL or Address), view the posting with your preferred Internet
Browser, select and copy the location and paste it into your email message
explaining why you would like the posting deleted.

ABOUT LINKS
Linking your commercial or personal website
- If you have your own website, specifically created for the Gay community
or contains information pertinent to the Gay community, we will consider
your website for a link on our pages if:
Your website does not sell pornography or contains excessive links to sites
that sell pornography.
Your website does not require visitors to pay a fee to verify their age.
Your website does not duplicate services provided by GayUniverse.
Your website does not exist on a server or host that duplicates services
provided by GayUniverse.
Guests and Members may include links to other Internet sites in
the Boards and Classifieds areas however spamming is not permitted. Profiles
and Personals that include telephone numbers, email addresses or links
will be deleted.

Bulletin Boards

It’s free to submit and respond to postings. Because the Boards postings
are sorted into threads it’s preferable if postings are not deleted unless
absolutely necessary. The Boards are frequently trimmed to keep them from
becoming impossibly long so eventually all postings are deleted as they
become older.

Boards postings will be deleted upon request if:

The posting contains obviously erroneous and/or purposefully false information…

The posting was submitted to harass or intimidate someone…
-
Concerns behavior which might be considered illegal…
-
Contains information of a personal nature that we don’t feel is appropriate,
such as telephone or pager numbers, postal addresses or intimate personal
information...
-
The posting is not related to the topic of the Board or antagonsitic.

Classifieds
-
These pages work just like the Boards. It’s free to submit and respond
to postings. Postings should be related or limited to the topic of the
Classifieds Board.

Classifieds Boards postings will be deleted upon request if:

The posting contains obviously erroneous and/or purposefully false information…

The posting was submitted to harass or intimidate someone…
-
Concerns behavior which might be considered illegal…
-
Contains information of a personal nature that we don’t feel is appropriate,
such as telephone or pager numbers, postal addresses or intimate personal
information.

Guestbook
-
It’s free to submit and respond to postings. Postings that include full
names, telephone numbers will be deleted. Deletions are also made upon
request but all submissions will be deleted within 60 days as new submissions
are added. Submissions should be confined to comments about GayUniverse.

Our Gay Guide is a listing of Internet related resources sorted according
to geographical location. If you discover a link that is no longer valid
or if you have a link that you would like to add just email it to us and
we’ll evaluate it.

Shopping

Our Gay Shopping page is a listing of Internet related resources sorted
according to the services offered. Online Shopping, Real Estate, Travel
and Acommodation. If you discover a link that is no longer valid or if
you have a link that you would like to add just send it to us and we’ll
evaluate it. Your link should have content related to the interests of
the Gay community

Our Gay Links page is a listing of Internet related resources sorted according
to the services offered. Entertainment, Clubs and Organizations, News,
Government and Religion, etc., etc. If you discover a link that is no longer
valid or if you have a link that you would like to add just send it to
us and we’ll evaluate it.

This is our banner rate:
Our preferred banner size is 325 pixels wide by 60 pixels high.
This is our preferred standard size banner:
Banners on the top 5 pages is $250.00 per month.
Banners on the top 10 pages is $350.00 per month.
Banners on the top 20 pages is $400.00 per month.
We require a 6 month initial service contract and we invoice monthly,
one month in advance.
If you would like to use your credit card for payment we can set up
a secure online transaction for you.
How busy are we? Our average for www.gayuniverse.com is 4.7 million
requests per month.

Username/Password Problems
Forget your Username and/or Password?
Just send me an email message.
You will need to tell me:
Your name.
Your email address (the one you used when you purchased your membership).
The approximate date you became a member.
Here is an example of the message you need to send me:

I can't remember my membership information or
my Username and Password are not working.
Can you find out what's wrong?
