Driving down a back suburban road on the way to a large park / reserve, I had to swerve to avoid this little guy. Pulled over immediately and got out to make sure no one else ran into him. I was as hedgehog crossing guard for 3 minutes. Once he was close to the gutter, I grabbed the camera.

Once I got close, he didn't move much, but he also didn't ball up.

Drove on gravel roads for a while out into this big park. Blaise said that some of the LoTR filming was done around here so we figured we'd burn a few hours to check out the landscape.
