This is the photo put up by the Boulder Valley Animal Shelter. Despite seeing hundreds of gpigs over the last six months, this was the only one that finally broke us down and got us to adopt.

Snickers loves her hay and has given up on eating pellets. We're pretty sure that she has only been given pellets in the past, so this is a nice change. She goes through several handfuls of hay daily.

Adopting a four year old gpig is rough on many levels. One of them is getting her used to the new caretakers. To help this process along, we're making sure she spends 15 or so minutes on a lap each night. Since we hate rejection, we're bribing her with vegetables in a desperate attempt to associate glorious cucumbers with lap time.

At one point, Snickers instantly stopped eating, bolted to the nearest keyboard and began working. By working, I mean she tried to save my document, put various characters in the save filename, initiated the Windows update and stared intently.

Yes, Snickers is now in the rotation to be interviewed at work and possibly replace some of our lesser consultants.

Notice the bell at an odd angle? That is from her pulling the ball out fighting with vegetables, and it flying back against the cage wall.
