eSafe "proactive content security" doesn't hold up

Mon Jan 21 04:52:41 EST 2002

On Jan 20, 2002, a group known as "CR1M6.BR" compromised and defaced the website of eSafe and Aladdin.

eSafe offers several products aimed at "proactive content security" such as eSafe Gateway, eSafe Enterprise, eSafe Mail and eSafe Desktop.

From their web site:

eSafe provides proactive, multi-tiered Internet Content Security from the gateway to the desktop, protecting the entire enterprise from: malicious code that destroys or steals digital assets, inappropriate and nonproductive material, the misuse of company resources, and Internet-borne content.
