Forgive the intrusion; I had to chime in.

If you would be so kind, please put down the bottle of cheap gas station
booze and give this issue some consideration.  There are moments, one
finds, along the path of a life in which a man has the opportunity to
pause, take stock of his surroundings, and learn a lesson which may
benefit him later in life.  This may be one of those character-building
opportunities for you.

You see, as it states clearly on Attrition's web page (the link to which
jericho very kindly offered, in his last mail), Attrition mirrors only the
main page of any site.  As such, had you defaced the page that is
displayed when one views http://www2.stfx.ca/ -or-
http://www2.stfx.ca/main.html (which is the main frame of the web page in
question), Attrition would happily mirror it, and you would have your
drunken ramblings preserved for all to see.  Within this framework, Mr.
Kiddie, you are indeed correct.  The content and text of the defacement do
not matter.  You do not, as you so eloquently stated, have to say 'IOWN3D
YOU', 'format the hard drive' (which would be to no avail if being
mirrored were your goal), or put 'some bullshit  31337 message' on the
page.  You simply have to deface the -main- page, or Attrition will not
perform the mirror.

You did not deface the main page.  When a casual viewer types
http://www2.stfx.ca/ into a browser, what comes up is a perfectly valid
page.  It is true that, were one to type in http://www2.stfx.ca/ph.html,
one would see a remarkably unimpressive defaced web page; however, simply
by dint of -not- being the page that is displayed when one views
http://www2.stfx.ca/ alone, it is by definition -not- the main page.
Therefore, it is a subpage...and, by clearly stated policy, subpages are
not mirrored.

Now, Mr. Kiddie, you are welcome to pick up your bottle of Boone's Farm,
or whatever potable sates your gustatory cravings this evening, and return
to your perusal of warez and pornography involving dopified denziens of
certain barnyards.  Or you might take this unique opportunity to develop
your mind in a way that may lead to your betterment later in life, and
learn a little bit about web site structure and How To Read The Fucking
Manual.
