Subject: Quiz from South Eastern University of Sri Lanka

Dear Sir,

It gives me great pleasure to ask something regarding egghead.com. I am
student of Accountancy & Financial Management at South Eastern University of
Sri Lanka. Since we are doing a case study on egghead .com as part of our
subject requirement. I have the following questions to be clarified. The
questions are:

1. What reasons do you have for optimism about your company's prospects for
potential equity investors?
2. What companies do you consider as competitors for you to become a leading
on line retailer of computer hardware and software?
3. Do you consider a presence in "marketplace" channels a help or hindrance
when competing in the "market space"?
4. What are the risk and rewards associated with a "Get Big Fast" strategy?
Does such a strategy make sense for egghead.com?

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. I will be thankful for very short
responses. OR let me know any sources to get the solutions.

Thank You.

: questions are:
:
: 1. What reasons do you have for optimism about your company's prospects for
: potential equity investors?

This is quite simple. While selling software on the shelves of our stores,
we run a lucritive business selling drugs such as exctasy, cocaine and
high grade pot. Even when software sales slump, the drug sales are steady
and climbing.

: 2. What companies do you consider as competitors for you to become a leading
: on line retailer of computer hardware and software?

For the store 'front' (hah), Best Buy or Circuit City probably. But that
doesn't much matter to us. The real competition comes the neighborhood
Tito, Juan or Billy that sells these same drugs at the local 7-11. In
today's economy, it hurts us that we have to pay for our shipments while
these dealers often aquire their supply through more violent and cheap
means. This presents an unfair competition and often makes our business a
little rough.

: 3. Do you consider a presence in "marketplace" channels a help or hindrance
: when competing in the "market space"?

On the software side, our marketplace presence is mostly to keep up the
image that we are a reputable company. On the drug side, the marketplace
presence is easy to maintain as word of mouth is the best form of
advertising.

: 4. What are the risk and rewards associated with a "Get Big Fast" strategy?
: Does such a strategy make sense for egghead.com?

The risk is fairly obvious, that of falling on your face and not making it
as a business. The reward is cornering the market and living the high
life. Money, drugs, hookers, sodomy, and everything else your heart could
desire.

: Thank You.

Welcome! Hope this helps.
