Some Linux folks recently confirmed to me that this was a distinct issue,
that the underlying codebases seemed quite different and the names of the
affected binaries seem coincidental.  So I gave it CAN-2005-2991.

I sent Romang an e-mail a couple weeks ago to no response as well, but for
an unrelated issue.  Maybe his spam filter is too fascist?
