Please keep Bill and his wife Betty in your thoughts for a positive and speedy recovery. I have fond memories of COL Raymond's class -- although challenging to this liberal arts major, thanks to his teaching style I managed to handle JC Chem 101 and 102 successfully. Also, I'll never forget his ongoing reference to the everyman "Cadet Schmaltz." :) Our well-wishes to LTC Raymond for a speedy recovery. More to follow as it develops. The funeral will be at West Point on Dec 29 in the same church Bette and Bill were married in 48 years ago. At this time He was selected to join the Department of Chemistry, United States Naval Academy and taught general chemistry from June 1985 to June 1988. He retired from the US Army in June of 1988 with thirty years of military service and was selected to teach general chemistry at Valley Forge Military Academy and College from September 1988 to November 2007.
