As described in the e-mail from Rick Forno, I will receive something in a short time to prove the system. Also, the idea of having a "paper trail" I feel is essential. We are above the others in what the site can do and should do for the Alumni. we need to keep a paper trail in the case of proving what we do, how we do it, etc. Those are my comments, Thank you for this opportunity, JRR -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... As part of the emerging ContinentalOnline website and new grassroots alumni initiatives to support VFMA&C, the Sticklist is an e-mail list intended to facilitate alumni outreach about Valley Forge's current status and ensure that during this period of significant change at the school, our Alma Mater endures as one of the premier military preparatory institutions in the world. Additionally, the Sticklist will serve to provide information about alumni activities both on-post and around the world to help reinvigorate the alumni experience and alumni interaction. The Sticklist is a low-volume broadcast-type e-mail list and only a very limited number of individuals are authorized to distribute messages here as we work to keep you informed about significant happenings at Valley Forge and help reconnect you with your Alma Mater. The Sticklist neither is a chat room nor a message board -- there will not be war stories, chat, gossip, or angry rantings here. The list administrator is Richard Forno '90 '92C and he can be reached through his personal website http://www.infowarrior.org/. You will also see messages from John Rapp '77JC and Tom Balish, '78, 80C. To manage your subscription or view list archives, please visit https://attrition.org/mailman/listinfo/sticklist. I am passing it along to you as interested alumni of Valley Forge. Cheers, -Rick > Dear Parents, Grandparents, Guardians and Sponsors > > It is with both sadness and frustration that I must inform you of an incident > that took place last night between two cadets in Hocker Hall at 10 PM. While > several cadets were tossing water at each other, one of our cadets stabbed a > fellow cadet. Within minutes of the incident taking place, the President, > Superintendent, and additional members of the Tactical Department were on the > scene. The injured cadet was immediately taken by MSG Gillyard to the Health > Center, where the registered nurse on duty immediately called 911 for > transport. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital Trauma Center, > where he was treated for a puncture wound and released Wednesday. Parents of > both cadets were notified by senior staff and are being updated regularly. > > The Radnor Township police arrived shortly thereafter, and took the alleged > perpetrator into custody. The cadet who allegedly caused the injury was > arrested and is being held at the Delaware County Detention Center. It is > unclear at this time whether the incident was intentional or accidental. It > appears that horseplay after TAPS may have been taking place and other cadets > may be involved as well. An investigation is being conducted to determine the > facts that occurred in the incident. > > Thankfully the cadet?s injury was minor and he is returning to campus this > morning. I want to assure you of my intention to conduct a thorough and > complete investigation in to this incident, despite the fact that there are > only three days of classes remaining in this academic year. The safety of each > cadet is paramount, and this type of horseplay will not be tolerated. > > I will keep you informed as the investigation progresses. Thank you for your > patience and support. > > Respectfully, > > Charles A. McGeorge > President
