Dear Fellow Alumni,

Our Alma Mater is at a critical time in its long and distinguished history.

Enrollment is down, barracks are falling apart from decades of neglect, and
there is little endowment to support upkeep and keep tuition lower.

We were asked by fellow alumnus Walt Mosetter Œ77C to use
www.continentalonline.org to promote the barracks latrine renovation plan
that will only cost about $330K. A special, restricted fund, entitled The
Lafayette Hall Latrine Project, has been created to collect contributions
that will not be used for anything other than this project. While the
website does not have any official affiliation with the school, we believe
that this project deserves our attention and support. Gentlemen, take a
look at the photos and text located under the Goal link on the homepage and
ask yourself, ³Can I make a difference to make Valley Forge a better
place
for future alumni?² The alumni of the future deserve better than what the
current conditions provide.

We can all have our opinions on the issues with the current administration
and BOT. However, the bottom line is the school will not succeed unless we
the alumni step in and get the school back on its feet. If the trend
continues, we may no longer have a place to return for Homecoming.

We can all complain and state the obvious or we can start supporting the
cadets by fixing up the infrastructure at the school and donating the
resources needed to sustain Valley Forge for future generations. The choice
is yours, but time is running out.

If you have any questions about the project, please do not hesitate to
contact either Walt at mosetter at aol.com, John at jrapp at stei.com or Tom at
balishfam at aol.com. Contributions should be sent directly to the school and
please make a notation that it is for the Lafayette Hall Latrine Project.

Thank you, again, for joining us in this project.

COURAGE, HONOR, CONQUER!
