Dr. Ken Boyden named VP of Institutional Advancement & Development
 
It is with great pleasure that we announce the selection of Dr. Ken Boyden
as our new Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Development
Dr. Ken Boyden joins Valley Forge Military Academy & College as Vice
President for Development & Institutional Advancement having served as Vice
President of Institutional Advancement at University of the Sciences in
Philadelphia (formally Philadelphia College of Pharmacy) since 2000. At
University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP), Ken lead a successful
Capital Campaign which exceeded the identified $25 million goal by raising
in excess of $30 million in cash gifts and additional support through
pledges, commitments, and planned/deferred giving. Dr. Boyden served as a
District Judge in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for twelve years and
brings broad expertise in charitable/tax-wise giving and higher education
leadership to VFMAC.

Ken earned a doctorate degree from University of Pennsylvania in higher
education management, a law degree from Dickinson School of Law in
Carlisle, PA, a B.S. degree from West Chester University, and an A.S.
degree from Delaware County Community College. Additionally, Dr. Boyden
attended the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University and
the Executive Program in Leadership from the Graduate School of Business at
Stanford University. Ken is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association,
U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United
States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Court
of Military Appeals.

Ken will join VFMA&C on January 7, 2008.
