[Nikto-discuss] Unable to update Nikto

Hi

I have just downloaded the latest tarball however I am unable to update
Nikto. It fails with the following error message.

# perl ./nikto.pl -update
+ ERROR (301): Unable to get www.cirt.net/nikto/UPDATES/2.02/versions.txt

I have verified that I can retrieve the versions.txt file with wget

Running nikto itself seems to work OK for what it's worth.

Any hints as to what the problem could be ?
