(Though the request would have more weight politically if it came from a GOP senator, say a Burr or Grassley.    After all, most everyone knows Wyden is one of the few voices of reason on privacy and crypto in the Senate anyway (eg, he's not a surveillance maximalist and/or someone who gulps the Chicken Little Koolaid) so this request shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. --- rick)
