… are going to come down to the following points:

1) POTUS SIGINT ‘reforms’ are appropriate & more than enough, if needed at all.
2) Surveillance capabilities have prevented X numbers of attacks.
3) We are at war and/or need every ‘tool’ available to ‘protect the homeland.’
4) We respect privacy; these capabilities will never be abused.
5) Snowden bad.
7) There’s too much sensational outcry from activists and journalists over all this surveillance stuff.
8) Don’t worry, Congress performs appropriate and informed oversight of all IC programs.
9) We’re the good guys in the world, remember.
10) Just trust us.

The Rogers-Feinstein routine with David ’Softball’ Gregory on MTP I’m sure will be positively nauseating. FWIW saying, Rogers is doing 3/5 of a full Ginsburg.
