Lucasarts does the public CYA, Wicked Lasers gets publicity.  Lucasarts publically states that Wicked Lasers is being responsible in their product description and backs "backs down".  Wicked Lasers sees big jump in orders, announces expansion of production, and raises the price of their new toy by 50%.

Anyone else see a near Lucas-like story here?
