In a Houston, Texas, case, UMG v. Hightower, the RIAA subpoenaed a high
school student on 24 hours notice to appear for a deposition at 9:00 A.M. at
their lawyer's office, on a school day. The student was the son of the
defendant. Defendant's lawyer filed a motion to quash the subpoena, and
objections:
