A supervisor at the state Department of Revenue Services was suspended 
without pay Monday after an investigation into the theft of his laptop 
computer that contained the names and Social Security numbers of 106,000 
Connecticut taxpayers.

Jason Purslow was suspended for six weeks.

His computer was stolen from his car in August at a hotel in New York. 
Police say it was possible the vehicle was not locked because there were 
no signs of a break-in.
