"Boston Globe: The Boston Globe and Worcester Telegram & Gazette spent the day dealing with the aftermath of a data breach. A deluge of angry customers overwhelmed a special hotline set up to deal with the complaints from the printing of credit card information on newspaper-bundle "toppers". Massachusetts Attorney General Thomas F. Reilly is looking into whether the newspapers violated the state's consumer-protection law. Publishers probably can't rely on a federal-preemption defense."
