This movie is either about horrifying the viewer with the worst wallpapers ever conceived, or one of the ultimate tales of revenge. This movie is also hard to properly review without ruining vital parts of it, so bear with me.
Slevin Kelevra (Josh Hartnett) is the wrong guy in the wrong place at the wrong time. Caught up between uber powerful rival criminal bosses 'The Boss' (Morgan Freeman) and 'The Rabbi' (Ben Kingsley). Throw in the obligatory hot girl (Lucy Liu), the hitman (Bruce Willis) and then re-read that cast lineup. Yeah, hard to have a bad movie with that kind of talent.
The movie tells a great story with a casual but consistent level of humor. No lame attempts to make it all action packed, no lame attempts to go overboard with the humor. Rather than that, they saved up the 'overboard' for the wallpaper in each scene. Trust me, you'll see what I mean.
That's it, short and sweet. This flick should have done better at the box office, but I don't recall hearing about it until it was out for rental. Bad marketing? Not enough press? Who knows, but fortunately for you, if you want to see it you can for a lot less than the currently overpriced matinee shows!
