Israel has launched several raids in Palestinian areas to destroy buildings and fired missiles on Thursday against Palestinian Authority targets in Gaza following a Palestinian roadside bombing that killed two Romanian workers.
Israeli troops shot dead a stone-throwing Palestinian teenager in Gaza on Friday and wounded at least two dozen more in various clashes and gun battles in the West Bank and Gaza where a Palestinian revolt has raged since late September.
Earlier, Israeli tanks and bulldozers rumbled as far as 800 yards (meters) into the Palestinian-controlled town of Deir al-Balah in Gaza, leveling three houses and a Palestinian police post after a grenade attack hurt two soldiers.
RAIDS AND RETALIATION
Israel has said it will continue incursions into Palestinian areas and other forms of retaliation for attacks on Israeli targets, despite criticism from the United States.
The army said it fired tank shells on Friday at the Palestinian village of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza after two mortar bombs were fired at Jewish settlements in Gaza. Four Palestinians were wounded by shrapnel.

On September 29, 2000, Ariel Sharon and 1000 Israeli soldiers showed the Palestinians by their use of force in storming the Al-Aqsa complex that the Israelis will never recognize Palestinian rights.
