About the EZ/EC Home Page

The Empowerment Zone/Enterprise Communities Home Page is designed to promote the exchange of information about the Presidential Empowerment Initiative. Here you will find information about the purposes and organization of the Initiative and the Empowerment Zones, Enterprise Communities, and Champion Communities participating in the Initiative. In addition, the EZ/EC Home Page provides a toolbox of information to help communities develop and implement effective strategic plans for community and economic development.

Welcome

Click on the Welcome bar to see and hear messages from President Clinton, Vice President Gore, Secretary of Agriculture Glickman, and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Cisneros.

A brief video sequence can be viewed by clicking on their photos. This requires that your computer is configured for sound and that you have an appropriate video client installed, such as Video for Windows, QuickTime, or MPEG. Several of these clients can be obtained from the EZ/EC FTP site. Click on Internet Software in the Toolbox section.

Audio IconA short audio may be heard by clicking on the audio graphic. Your computer must be configured for sound in order to hear it.
