Dartmouth's Institute for Security Technology Studies (ISTS) seems to have failed Mail List Administration 101. On Feb 1, a Department of Justice employee set their mail client to auto-respond to incoming mail, and request a return receipt. This created a nasty mail loop causing two mails a minute for almost eight hours. The web site interface for unsubscribing was down and no one was available at Dartmouth Tech Support.
