Police are looking in to the theft of a computer hard drive from the Concordia Hospital on May 14th. The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's computer contained images and slides of diagnostic imaging tests for more than three thousand patients.

Its believed by the WRHA that the computer was stolen as a peice of equipment - and not for the information it contained. They add unless the theives were doctors, the slides on the computer would most likely mean nothing.

Also, police say the possibility of the theives using names and birthdates from the computer for identity theft is remote.
