CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-99-07 reports a vulnerability 
in Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0.

This vulnerability allows malicious users to exploit IIS to execute 
arbitrary code with the privileges of the IIS server.

This advisory provides information on a workaround to secure IIS.

CERT-NL recommends application of this (temporarily) workaround, as long as
a real patch is not provided.

Additional information with regards to this vulnerability is placed in 
the README file associated with the advisory. You are encouraged to check 
on README file updates regularly. You can automate that process by using 
the CERT-NL notifier service.
