In CERT Coordination Center Vendor-Initiated Bulletin VB-97.05 "Vulnerability in Lynx Temporary Files", Jim Spath reports a vulnerability in Lynx temporary files. This vulnerability allows users on the unix system on which Lynx runs to replace downloaded files of another user. This advisory provides a workaround for Lynx 2.7.1 as described in the "solutions" section of the above mentioned Vendor-Initiated Bulletin.
