CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-96:24 reports a vulnerability
in sendmail that affects versions 8.7 through 8.8.2.

This vulnerability allows any local user to gain root access.

This advisory provides information on vendor patches and the latest release of
sendmail (8.8.3)

CERT-NL recommends installing vendor patches or upgrading to the
current version of sendmail (8.8.3)

Additional information with regards to this vulnerability is placed in
the README file associated with the advisory. You are encouraged to check
