we received the following information.

In CERT Coordination Center Vendor-Initiated Bulletin VB-96.15
the Santa Cruz Operation reports a vulnerability in a particular system call.

This vulnerability allows unauthorized root access to the system.

The bulletin provides a Program Temporary Fix (PTF) and a workaround.

CERT-NL recommends to implement the PTF or workaround.
