CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-96.19 reports a vulnerability in
expreserve on various systems. This vulnerability allows users with
access to an account on the system to gain root access. This CERT
coordination Center advosiry gives an overview of the status of this
vulnerability on various systems.

CERT-NL recommends that you patch your system as soon as possible,
as exploitation scripts are publicly available.

Additional information with regards to this vulnerability is placed in
the README file associated with the advisory. You are encouraged to check
