CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-96:14 reports a vulnerability 
in rdist                      

This vulnerability allows, on unpatched systems, anyone with access to a local 
account to gain root access.

This advisory provides information on vendor provided patches for this
vulnerability.

CERT-NL recommends to apply the applicable patch.
