CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-96.08 reports two vulnerabilities 
in the pcnfsd program (pcnfsd is also known as rpc.pcnfsd),
present in some vendor-provided versions of pcnfsd as well as in some publicly 
available versions.

Both vulnerabilities involve root violations. Exploit reports have already been
received.

This advisory provides patch information for several vendors plus a 
reference to an already patched public version of pcnfsd.

CERT-NL recommends installing the appropriate vendor patch or switching to
the patched public nfsd version.

Additional information with regards to this vulnerability is placed in 
the README file associated with the advisory. You are encouraged to check 
on README file updates regularly. You can automate that process by using
