we received the following information:


In CERT Coordination Center Vendor-Initiated Bulletin VB-96:05.dec
Digital reports a vulnerability in OSF/1 dxconsole.

This vulnerability allows authorized users to gain unauthorized privileges.

The bulletin provides the advise to upgrade to a minimum of
DEC OSF/1 V3.0 then apply the supplied Security patch.

CERT-NL recommends to do so.
