: Rob,
:
: The following website is displaying a Tawnee Stone picture without our
: permission:
:
: I contacted the webmaster and gave him forty-eight hours to remove the
: picture; The only response I got is below. He asked me to "prove" we
: own the copyright. This webmaster damn well knows he didn't take the
: picture and doesn't have permission to post it. Please note this email
: is going to him as well.

I know "damn well" I didn't take the picture.

I do not know "damn well" that you did. We get several mails each month
asking us to remove images for a variety of reasons. In *every* mail where
someone claimed copyright, they were more than willing to provide proof so
we can weed out the bogus claims. In those cases, I immediately removed
the image without further question.

If this ever went to court, you'd have to prove copyright ownership there.
I am asking you to do that now so you can avoid the legal costs in the
future. It is a simple and well founded request.

Until you do so, my decision stands. It should be TRIVIAL for you to
provide a URL or attached photo proving your claim. Until then, i'll lump
it in with the rest of the screwballs.

: Please shut him.

Shut me?

Also, as a reminder, make sure your attorny is aware of:

Specifically, that all of this e-mail will be posted publically in the
future.

At least I warned him!
