I think the Govt would love any help in gathering 
(not destroying) evidence found on middle eastern 
computers.

Go do a little research on evidence and something known as "chain of custody", and how easy it is to ruin evidence or invalidate it.

Then begin to explore the ins and outs of digital media and the challenges it presents in establishing what is or is not evidence.

Now, if you think the Government wants hackers, most of which are clueless script kidiots, helping them in their investigation, why don't you call them up and ask if you are right? When they tell you not to fuck with their investigation and remind you that it is a felony to do so.. don't be too surprised.
