Hi,

nikto.conf contains the following line:
# DOCDIR=/opt/nikto/docs            # Location of docs dir

Nikto itself however uses the variable 'DOCUMENTDIR'.

I solved this error moving all the files of directory "plugins" to
another location and then executing # svn up
