A computer program housing personal information about Wisconsin seniors
and disabled people had a "significant security hole," a state health
official overseeing the program said in an e-mail obtained by The
Associated Press.

In addition, a senior center volunteer in McFarland said he could see
hundreds of files of people's private information from across the country
in the system run by Virginia-based Harmony Information Systems.

The volunteer, who worked 41 years for the Wisconsin Department of Health
and Family Services, is calling on the state to do a review to see whether
there have been any security breaches.

The information is entered into an electronic record that includes the
person's name and Social Security number.
