In a one-room art school in Pulcallpa, Peru, young people are making remarkable discoveries about themselves and their world. What they have learned to express on canvas can give us all a better understanding of nature's power and fragility. These students, nearly 500 young people raised along the Peruvian Amazon are becoming accomplished artists whose paintings capture scenes from the Rainforest in stunning detail. The USKO AYAR Amazonian School of Painting -- whose name translated from Quecha, means "Spiritual Prince" -- offers classes free of charge and provides promising students with art supplies. Like the rainforest, these paintings cannot be forgotten.
