Continous development in the precious metals field since 1984 has prompted the compan to diversify its business, into the field of "fine chemistry".

The first objective was to carry out the production of high standard "SERIGRAPHIC PASTES" in the "THICK FILM" field, to be applied to the automobile industry for the manufacturing of heated rear windows and windscreens.

The Success of these products at national and European levels, has allowed the company to expand its "fine chemistry" department, with the opening of a new site.

In 1995 the Fine Chemistry Division achieved an important goal, which has been greatly appreciated by all its customers: it obtained the Quality System Certification according to the UNI EN 29002 regulation by the institute CERTICHIM.

CHIMET Spa. has moreover developed its production of products containing precious metals used in the field of ceramic, glass and porcelain decoration. Such products are applied with a brush in atristical decoration (Bright Liquid Golds) and by direct serigraphy in industrial decoration of floor tiles, glass, bottles, and so on (Gold Paste for silk-screen process)
