By disclosing these facts we wish to direct your attention towards the present-day (held) Kashmir and the maltreatment of thousands of Kashmiris, which include muslims, sikhs and people belonging to other religious sects.

We will not send any army against them. We will accept that, however hurt we might feel about it, we will change the constitution if necessary."

"I want to stress that it is only the people of Kashmir who can decide the future of Kashmir. It is not that we have merely said that to the United Nations and to the people of Kashmir; it is our conviction." "I started with the assumption that it is for the people of Kashmir to decide their own future. We will not compel them. In that sense, the people of Kashmir are sovereign.’"

India's first Prime Minister, Jawaher Lal Nehru, has repeatedly laid stress upon the fact that India has no rights whatsoever over Kashmir, except that of guarding it only when India's own security is threatened by the condition/state of Kashmir, and this too until peace has prevailed over Kashmir. After that, the people of Kashmir, as stated, will/should be given the freedom they are striving so hard to achieve. But, has India really tried to make the situation any better? No! They have only made it worse. How, you ask? They have maltreated the people of Kashmir, they have murdered them and blamed it on Pakistan and the Mujahideen and called them not freedom fighters, but "TERRORISTS"! They have plotted various schemes to discreetly lead the people to believe that Pakistan is the actual motivation for the terrorists in India and Kashmir, hell, they have even appealed to the US to declare Pakistan a "Terrorist State". Terrorists (in Kashmir)? Those would be the Indian militants.
The facts are simple, not only has India not honoured the word of some of it's greatest leaders, but has also lied to the world and the people of Kashmir constantly. All that said it is high time at the people of Kashmir be allowed their birthright.. the freedom to choose, wouldn't you agree?
