1999 NWBC Best Practices Guide: Contracting with Women


The National Women’s Business Council is a bi-partisan, federal advisory panel created to serve as an advisor to the President, Congress and the Interagency Committee on Women’s Business Enterprise on women’s entrepreneurship. The Council members are prominent women business owners and leaders of women’s business organizations nominated by Congress and appointed by the President and his Cabinet.

On July 30, 1999, The Council published the 1999 NWBC Best Practices Guide: Contracting with Women. The guide identifies and analyzes successful public and private sector procurement practices for increasing opportunities for women-owned firms as prime and subcontractors.
