National Women's Business Council
1999 NWBC Best Practices Guide: Contracting with Women |
|
The National Women’s Business Council is a bi-partisan, federal advisory panel created
to serve as an advisor to the President, Congress and the Interagency Committee on
Women’s Business Enterprise on women’s entrepreneurship. The Council members are
prominent women business owners and leaders of women’s business organizations
nominated by Congress and appointed by the President and his Cabinet.
On July 30, 1999, The Council published the 1999 NWBC Best Practices Guide:
Contracting with Women. The guide identifies and analyzes successful public
and private sector procurement practices for increasing opportunities for
women-owned firms as prime and subcontractors. For more information on this guide,
see the press release or download the PDF version of the report below.
