AMD Duron Announced

AMD has announced their Duron line of processors, which will compete at the low end against the Intel Celeron. It's going to run at 200 MHz front side bus! Here's a part of their press release:

Derived from the Latin roots ``durare,'' meaning ``to last,'' and ``-on'', meaning ``unit,'' the AMD Duron processor name was selected because it conveys the attributes embodied by a product designed to prolong the life of a buyer's investment.
About the AMD Duron Processor
The AMD Duron processor is derived from the AMD Athlon(TM) processor core and features full-speed, on-chip L2 cache memory, a 200MHz front side system bus, and enhanced 3DNow!(TM) technology. AMD plans to begin shipping AMD Duron processors in June.
