: Hey Damaged, listed ive got a problem
: with my bloody webserver, im back on my
: Webserver now and im not using my laptop until i figure out whats up.

: Otherpeople USED to be able to connect to my box and view my brothers webpage etc.

: I didnt make any changes to it but now for some reason noone can connect. Httpd is running, everything is working correctly up until about 2 weeks ago or so.

: I do have my Firewall running and some IDS running as well. From work today i ssh'd into my box and killed those services and try and access my webpage from work with no luck.

: any ideas? i never had to bind it to a different port or anything like that before and it worked fine.

: I cant seem to figure out whats up..im gonna call my ISP and im gonna ask them can they verify that they can access my webserver via http. All other services work fine but its beginning to piss me off..the whole point of this Linux box was to act as a webserver but its apparently not working correctly..

: got any ideas?? MY ISP has to enable ftp and www services on there end, i called they yesterday, they told me that www and ftp services are enabled from there end (im not running and ftp server through i so dont care about that) and everything should be fine..but its obviously not..

: if youwant to check it out, its at

: 205.251.203.172

: any suggestions would be appreciated

: ITS DEFINATELY not my firewall thats blocking connections, its my my IDS Because its not listening on port 80 because that would be stupid, its not TCP_WRAPPERS because there not denying any connections to port 80.

: I dunno im buggered.

: if you want to get in and look around
: i'll give you a shell.

: I checked out /etc/httpd/conf/access.conf
: and httpd.conf and both seem to be fine..

: there not denying any connections
: "allow from all
: deny from none" etc.

: ???????? I think its an ISP problem personally
